Correcting Children’s Mistakes
A boy used to come home very late every day. After his parents had rebuked him he did not change his style. One day when he came late his mother never talked to him. When dinner time came there was only one piece of bread in his plate. He looked at his father’s plate which was full of meat and fruit. The boy looked at his father’s face and the father never showed him any response. The boy felt like crying and he realized his mistake. Then the father removed his plate from him and replaced it with the plate full of meat and fruits and kept smiling at the boy. Eventually, the father's gesture of swapping plates, giving the boy a plate full of meat and fruits while smiling at him, shows that the purpose of the lesson was not to punish the boy indefinitely but to help him learn and grow.
