Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Image
Trials and tribulations were not new to Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary. Even before Abraham Lincoln was shot dead there were so many losses and disappointments. They lost their son, Eddie at the age of three. When Abraham Lincoln became the President of America, he lost his son, Villie who was eleven years old then. Having lost two of her children Lincoln Mary was at her culmination of sorrows. Though she was the first lady of America she could not perform her day to day duties. She had to spend many days on bed. Consolation came to Mary in a very strange way. Mary Lincoln used to carry a basket full of fruits and flowers to visit the injured soldiers in the hospital. Her action of keeping fruits and flowers near the pillows of the wounded soldiers gave them some kind of comfort and happiness. She used to spend time with them by writing letters for them and reading books with them. This action not only gave comfort to the wounded soldiers but gave her a lot of strength to ...

Sets you absolutely free

Image
A man was imprisoned during Queen Victoria’s time in England. His close friend knew he was innocent. So he tried his level best to gather information about that crime. After 5 years of hard work, he got some evidence that could disprove the guilt of his friend. Having lost all faith in the judicial system of England he straight away took the matter to the Queen. Queen Victoria after a detailed study of the evidence produced gave the releasing order of his friend. Filled with joy he ran to the jail to greet his friend about the news of his release. But there was no joy on his friend’s face after hearing the good news. With the grumpy face he told, “Now I have cancer, can your Queen deliver me from this disease, my 5 years in jail only gave me this cancer.” The freedom we talk about in this world are like this. But When Jesus (Jesus=Word of God=Truth) sets you free, you are absolutely free. Free from sin, curse, bondages etc.

The Great Wall of China

Image
The Great Wall of China one of the wonders of this world is 4500miles long, 35feet high and 25feet wide.   Nobody can climb over it or demolish it.   The purpose of building this wall is to save China from the enemies attack.   But the enemies of China,  Barbarians  three times entered China.   They never climbed over the wall, they never demolished the wall, nor did they move around the wall.   They just entered through the main gate freely by bribing those security there.   In our life also our lack of self-control will lead us to great defeats.   We must control our spirit, thoughts, anger, emotions, lust, jealous and greed for money.   If we cannot control we will be unsafe.   Let us receive God’s grace to have real self-control in our life and be blessed.

Not a single star falling down

Image
I have wondered not a single star was supported but still they are not falling down.   You may say that stars are not physical objects like those on Earth; they are massive celestial bodies that emit light and heat due to nuclear reactions happening in their cores. Stars are held together by gravity, which is the force of attraction between all objects with mass. The immense gravitational forces within a star counteract the outward pressure generated by nuclear fusion in its core, resulting in a delicate balance. This equilibrium prevents the star from collapsing under its own gravity or expanding uncontrollably. Unlike everyday objects on Earth, stars don't require physical support to stay in place. The force of gravity itself plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability and structure of a star. As long as this balance is maintained, stars can exist without falling apart. The equilibrium of our life can be maintained by obeying the Divine law, loving and forgiv...

Joy in giving

Image
The phrase "There is more joy in giving than in receiving" reflects the idea that the act of giving to others can bring greater satisfaction and happiness than receiving something for oneself. This sentiment is often associated with the concept of altruism, where individuals find fulfillment and joy in helping others without expecting anything in return. Several psychological studies support the notion that acts of kindness and generosity can contribute to a sense of well-being and happiness. The act of giving, whether it's through material gifts, time, or emotional support, can create positive feelings for both the giver and the receiver. Engaging in acts of kindness can lead to a sense of purpose, increased self-esteem, and improved mental well-being. Cultures and religions around the world often emphasize the importance of generosity and selflessness as virtues that contribute to a more harmonious and compassionate society. While receiving can bring momentary pleas...

Lazy children

Image
For many years Mondero beach in California has been a paradise for pelicans.   The fishermen who lived around there used to clean the fish and throw the waste there.   The pelicans had been eating these for many years that they have forgotten to search for food inside the sea.   After sometime those fishermen stopped coming to this particular beach.   Still the pelicans did not try for their food by getting inside the sea rather they waited for those fishermen for their food.   Because of this attitude many became so thin and many died also. When the government authorities noticed this, they brought in many other pelicans which are vigorous in swimming.   When the old ones saw the new ones swimming into the sea and getting food for them they also got along with them and started swimming and gathered their own food. Our children also became lazy like this pelicans if we provide all their needs.   They won’t even pray to God for their needs. ...

Mighty Provider

Image
George Muller started a school for children. Most of the children studied in his school were orphans who stayed at government run homes. Many of them felt ashamed to stay in such homes and so there were many dropouts. Muller decided to start a free hostel in his school. When he announced this in his church, many church members did not feel happy because they thought they were expected to donate. On seeing their faces Muller felt sorry and decided not to tell about his needs to any human being. That day the verse, Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it, fell on his eyes. He placed before God his long list of requirements for the children’s home. The same day one couple came forward with free teaching service, another man offered to provide all necessary furniture, and like this all needs were full filled and the hostel was opened within few weeks.   God, our mighty provider is willing to provide.

Fear and anxiety

Image
Your heart may be burdened by the news you hear. Fear and anxiety must have entered you. Uncertainties in life may torment you. It sounds like feelings of distress and uncertainty is expressed, which are emotions that many people experience from time to time. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed by negative news, fears, and anxieties. Life can indeed be filled with uncertainties, and these feelings can take a toll on your mental and emotional well-being. Engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation. This might include hobbies, exercise, spending time with loved ones, or even just taking a walk outdoors. Try to identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to your anxiety. Ask yourself if your fears are based on facts or assumptions. It is our loving God who decides our end, not the present situation or the people around us or their opinion matters.   Believe that you have been sustained by the power of God. Cast your burden upon Jesus...

Do not fear

Image
“Anything dark is devil for the fearful!” So goes a Tamil proverb. No good will happen out of fear. "Anything dark is devil for the fearful," reflects a common sentiment found in many cultures where darkness is often associated with fear and the unknown. This saying suggests that when people are consumed by fear, they tend to perceive even benign or neutral things as negative or dangerous. This can lead to irrational thoughts and reactions. "No good will happen out of fear," conveys the idea that making decisions or taking actions based solely on fear is unlikely to result in positive outcomes. Fear can cloud judgment, hinder rational thinking, and prevent individuals from pursuing opportunities or facing challenges with a clear mind. It can lead to missed opportunities and unnecessary stress. In general, it's advisable to make decisions and approach situations with a balanced and rational mindset, rather than allowing fear to control one's thoug...

Healing

Image
It is believed by many medical doctors that hatred, anger and lack of love and compassion are the reason for many of our physical sickness.   Recently I heard a lecture of one famous doctor on cure and prevention of cancer.   He concluded his lecture by telling the best way to prevent cancer is to have a compassionate heart, love every one and forgive every one. The link between emotions, particularly negative ones like hatred, anger, and stress, and physical health is a topic of ongoing research and discussion within the medical and psychological communities. While it's not universally accepted that these emotions directly cause specific illnesses like cancer, there is evidence to suggest that chronic stress and negative emotions can contribute to overall health problems. Stress and negative emotions can have physiological effects on the body, including increased levels of certain hormones and inflammation, which over time can contribute to various health issues. Fallen tree

Image
Once during a cyclone a very big tree fell down in my street. I went near it to observe the reason because many other trees had not fallen. The whole center portion of its trunk was eaten by insects and it was almost hallow. So the tree had fallen not in a single day, but the destruction was taking place for many years. The observation about the fallen tree provides a powerful analogy for the way challenges and difficulties in life can often accumulate over a period of time, eventually leading to a significant outcome. Just as the tree's gradual deterioration due to insect damage led to its collapse during the cyclone, our experiences, decisions, and circumstances can build up over the years, shaping the paths we take and the situations we face. This analogy can teach us a few valuable lessons: 1.      Hidden Struggles: Just like the tree's decay wasn't immediately visible, many challenges and issues in our lives may not be readily apparent to others. I...

Rope Walk

Image
Philippe Petit's daring stunt is often referred to as the "Tightrope Walk between the Twin Towers." Philippe Petit's incredible feat involved him walking on a steel cable strung between the rooftops of the Twin Towers on August 7, 1974. The walk took place at a height of approximately 1,350 feet (411 meters). This event captivated the world's attention and is considered one of the most daring and audacious feats in history. After three months while he was practicing in Florida at a height of only 30 feet he slipped and fell down.   He shouted that he could not believe that he had fallen down.   Philip believed that he would never fall down and he believed in his skill.   So he broke down in his mind when he fell down. If we shouldn’t put our trust in our abilities instead if we put our trust in God we will never fall down. Even if we fall, God is there to lift us up because we trusted Him.

Blank Page

Image
A man was printing a book.   He suddenly saw a blank page. He took it out thinking that it was a mistake, but on seeing it he could read the words printed at the bottom, “Page intentionally left blank”.   Then he saw after the blank page a new chapter began.   After printing many more pages again a blank page appeared and after the blank page again a new topic began. In the same way in our life also a blank period God may allow before starting a new life chapter. Embrace the blank pages in life's book, for within them, new beginnings are overlooked. As a man printed his journey, page by page, He stumbled upon a blank, a peculiar stage. Curiosity sparked, he removed it with care, only to find words whispered, a message rare. "Page intentionally left blank," it proclaimed, a reminder that transitions aren't in vain. In the tapestry of life, such blanks are known, a pause, a breath, where growth is silently sown. For after the stillness, a new chapter unfurls,...
